A local resident of the area and frequent visitor to Lake Harmony Estates, seen here near the LHE canoe racks on our Parking Lot, early one morning.

Read, "Deer, Communities & Quality of Life."

This picture (taken off-season, obviously) shows the sand beach situated on Lake Harmony, just off South Lake Drive at Wood St. The beach is owned by LHEPOA, and is available to Beach Badge holders of property owners and guests during summer. It is fully protected by certified lifeguards during normal operation.

This is the Lake Harmony Estates Boat Dock/Launch Area (the picture was taken off-season, obviously). Lake Harmony, being a privately-owned lake, is protected by a fence with a locking gate located on North Lake Drive at Tobyhanna St. Keys to the gate may be purchased by authorized property owners only.

We have installed gates in both the Parking Lot and Beach Area fences adjoining the recently acquired Beach House property, and we built a very nice, wheelchair-friendly walkway between them. Now, you don’t have to risk life & limb and kiddies’ lives by going all the way up to South Lake Drive and walking along its shoulder, just to get from the Parking Lot to the Beach!

This is a view of the walkway leading to and from the Parking Lot and the Beach Area, as seen from the gate at the beach end.

If you're on the walkway (in the above picture) and you look towards the lake, you'll see the gated fence we added to the Beach House to keep the little kiddies from wandering out to the lakefront area of the house without an adult.

If you go through the gate (in the above picture), you will be in the Beach House lakefront area, where you'll see a great view of Lake Harmony. Also, there is a little dock that can be used to unload and pick up beach-goers by boat!

Looking back from the dock on the lake at the Beach House, you can see the gated fence access to the lakefront area and the path between the dock and the Beach House porch.

As can be seen from the Beach House lakefront, on any given day in summer, a wide range of watercraft can be found on the lake. Illustrated in this picture, we have noticed the recent introduction of kayaks to the mix.

This is the view you will see if you look toward the Lake Harmony Estates Beach from the dock. Notice the little pathway on the right, which provides access the beach.

Here's a typical area sunset, seen from the Lake Harmony Estates Parking Lot.

We don't know if this is a photograph of Lake Harmony Estates or not, but we sure do look a lot like this every autumn - especially the the rocks!

These wild turkeys are seen in large groups throughout the year. As with all wildlife in the Estates, they are protected, so you won't be getting a drumstick from any of these birds.

This is how Estates roads look each autumn about mid-October. This particular one is Estates Drive, looking East from Spring Street, taken on October 13, 2006.

This year, some - but not all - of the colors are very vivid. This shot was taken on October 13, 2006.

Notice, too, the Moon in the background.

This vehicle shows how things looked in the Estates on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2007, when we got the season's first significant snowfall. We received 4" of snow, then 2" of sleet, then another 4" of snow. Big problems with the interstates, though: Routes 80, 81 and 78 had stretches of iced-over areas that were closed to traffic in both directions - for DAYS!

This shows how things looked in the Estates on May 8, 2007, as a result of April's rains. You know, (... though April showers may come your way, they bring the flowers that bloom in...) the trees?!?

This shows how the same view pictured above has changed to look just three weeks later, on May 29, 2007. The previously flowering trees now display a full set of green leaves.

Hi, I'm Tom O'Rouke. This picture shows me and two grandsons, Thomas & Patrick Bernicker, with our "catch of the day" from Lake Harmony this past summer. They are three largemouth bass, 4 1/2 lb, 2 lb and 1 1/2 lb. We had them for dinner that evening and they were great!
